Terms of Use
By installing the Cigar Helper Chrome extension or using cigarhelper.com (together, the "Service"), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not install the extension or use the site.
Eligibility
The Service is intended only for adults of legal age to purchase or consume cigar products in their jurisdiction — at least 21 years old in the United States. By using the Service you represent that you meet that age requirement and that your use complies with all applicable laws.
What the Service is
Cigar Helper is a browser tool that reorganizes the contents of cigar-retailer promotional pages you visit, presenting them as a sortable, filterable table inside your browser. The extension does not:
- Sell tobacco products or accept payments.
- Take possession of, ship, or facilitate the shipment of any tobacco product.
- Verify the age of users (beyond this notice and the dismissible banner on the site).
- Provide medical, health, or product safety advice.
All purchases happen on the retailer's own website using their own checkout. We have no role in those transactions.
No affiliation
Cigar Helper is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or otherwise officially connected to any cigar retailer, manufacturer, or brand. Retailer names appearing in the Service identify supported sites only; they do not imply partnership.
No warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, completeness, or non-infringement. Retailer pages change frequently; the extension may extract attributes incorrectly, omit products, or fail to render on some pages. Verify all pricing, availability, and product details directly on the retailer's own page before purchasing.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operators of Cigar Helper will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising from or related to your use of the Service, including lost savings, missed deals, incorrect pricing displays, or any decision made in reliance on data shown by the Service. Your sole remedy for dissatisfaction with the Service is to stop using it.
Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Violate any law or regulation, including tobacco-sales restrictions in your jurisdiction.
- Circumvent retailer rate limits, age gates, or other access controls.
- Reverse-engineer the extension to remove privacy protections or insert tracking.
- Resell, rent, or commercialize access to the Service.
Intellectual property and DMCA
Cigar Helper's source code and assets are the property of the project maintainer. Retailer trademarks, logos, and product descriptions remain the property of their respective owners. If you believe content displayed by the Service infringes your copyright or trademark, please use the support channel that will be published alongside the Chrome Web Store listing when it goes live and we'll address it.
Changes to the Service and these terms
We may modify the extension, the website, or these terms at any time. Material changes will be reflected here with an updated "Last updated" date below. Continued use of the Service after a change constitutes acceptance.
Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time by uninstalling the extension and no longer visiting the website. We may stop publishing or maintaining either at any time.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which the maintainer resides, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally will be brought in the courts of that jurisdiction.
Contact
A contact channel will be published alongside the Chrome Web Store listing when it goes live.
